The biggest, best, and brightest corsage brooch. Signed CoroCraft. A brilliant bouquet of clear rhinestones is set in silver-tone costume metal. The central flower is a large cluster of stones, which looks like a dazzling snowball. Delicate leaves and wild tendrils curl around the flower, bringing the piece to exuberant life. The piece is marked "Coro Craft." A true scene-stealer, this baby was born to be worn on the shoulder of a haute couture evening gown. Circa 1940.
Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger established the New York accessories boutique Coro in 1901. Coro purchased a manufacturing facility in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1929, which became the world's largest costume jewelry facility.
